“Our immediate aim should be chiefly educational… with a view to dealing with the crisis if it should come in our day, or of handing on the tradition of our hope to others if we should die before it comes.”
-William Morris, 1884
Our first event for 2020 is a bit of a regroupment at Space Academy on the 29th of January from 7.30pm.
We will be following the “show and tell” format we did a a bit over a year ago, where attendees are invited to bring something they’ve found politically useful/interesting/infuriating/awful/funny and share with the group if they choose to.
Otherwise the event is a merger of our regular public event as well as our social event, as a way to ease into the year. With that in mind there will also be a slight discount on drinks (both non- and alcoholic) until the $$ runs out.
This will also be a good chance for us to distribute members their copies of Wage Labour and Capital as well as their die struck enamel lapel pin and some CSS stickers.
Those who would like to join on the night, membership is $30/year. Copies of Wage Labour and Capital for members beyond the membership pack, and copies for non-members can be purchased for $10.
Free, all welcome.
