Given that the Aotearoa | New Zealand government is seeking to delegitimise Te Tiriti o Waitangi and disembed other elements of Te Ao Māori, and given the recent opposition to such actions by Māori and Tangata Tiriti both separately and together, the CSS has decided to kick its 2024 programme of events off with another 101 style conversation (see our socials for Socialism for Dummies and Anarchism for Dummies videos), this time about colonisation in Aotearoa and the project of colonialism more broadly.
Please join CSS executive member and library worker Sionainn Byrnes and artist, curator, and library worker Māia Abraham for this kōrero that promises something for those very new to the subject as well as those more familiar.
This is not an event to miss, and there will be a special opportunity for attendees to continue their own conversations on the night and into the future.
Doors at 6.30PM for a 7.00PM start.
As ever, this event is free and open to all who wish to engage in good faith.
